Theoretical exploration of low GWP refrigerant mixtures as replacement to HFC-134A in a vapour compression refrigeration system

Hydro-fluorocarbons (HFCs) that are not harmful to ozone layer and used in many appli-cations, including as refrigerants, aerosols, solvents blowing agents for insulating foams replace chlorofluorocarbons hydro (HCFCs). However, some HFCs have a high GWP, which stands “Global Warming Potential(GWP).” Because of the grow-ing concern over global climate change, researchers paying closer attention alternatives these HFCs. The main focus this work was on theoretical analysis refrigerant mixtures namely AC5, R430A, R440A direct replacements HFC-134a refriger-ator. performance refrigerator may be enhanced using heat exchanger. com-pressor discharge temperature, COP, VCC, mass flow rate, power consumption compressor pressure ratio were measure home refrigerator. typical COP R430A about 2.5% 1.4% higher than HFC-134, while average AC5 6.1% lesser HFC-134a. almost has same VCC (Volumetric Cooling Capacity) results also show uses more R440A, R430A. outlet temperatures HFC-134a, affects life span compressor. In com-parison with all above gives best overall replacement VCR.
